Comfortable and sustainable by train

Augsburg's main train station is optimally connected to numerous metropolises via fast ICE/IC connections. It’s less than 20 minutes from the central station in the center of Augsburg to Messe Augsburg. Use the Deutsche Bahn online information service to plan your journey to Augsburg:

Take the train from Augsburg central station to the “Augsburg Messe” station. The journey takes approx. 5 minutes. It’s only a 10-minute walk from there to the trade fair grounds.

Note: Enter “Messe DB, Augsburg” as the destination in the Deutsche Bahn travel planner.

In addition to the train, you can also use the local public transportation of the Augsburger Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund (AVV) to travel to the trade fair grounds.

• By tram to Bukowina Institut/PCI, then continuing on foot or by bus
  Take the tram line 3 (via Königsplatz) in the direction of Haunstetten West P+R and get off at the stop Bukowina Institut/PCI. The journey takes approx. 12 minutes. From there you can either walk to the trade fair grounds in about 7 minutes or take the bus and get off at the next stop. The bus will take you to the trade fair grounds in both directions—either to the bus stop Messe Süd or to the Messezentrum.
   
• By tram to Königsplatz, then continuing by bus
  Take the tram line 3 in the direction of Haunstetten West P+R and get off at the stop Königsplatz. Then take bus no. 41 in the direction of Maria Stern or Bergstraße. Then get off at the stop Messezentrum. The whole journey takes approx. 15 minutes.

The taxi stand is located south of Augsburg central station. Messe Augsburg is just a few minutes away by taxi.

It with be worth renting a car if you’re planning to make the most of your stay in Augsburg or want to extend it to explore Augsburg and the region or visit some places of interest. You can rent a car at the railway station.
