As a company with a national and international appeal, Messe Augsburg offers a wide range of activities—for both experienced professionals and those who are starting out on their career.
If you have an interest in trade fairs and events of all types, enjoy being in contact with people and love variety, then you've come to the right place. We offer some varied and challenging fields of activity. Explore the various areas of work here.
This is where you'll find our number crunchers and purchasing specialists: The colleagues from our commercial department manage, among others, accounting, corporate planning and reporting. They're in constant contact with customers and suppliers and our other departments. They are also the administrators of our visitor box offices for our own events.
The team also includes our HR experts. They take care of our company’s most important resource: our employees. Their responsibilities include time recording, payroll accounting, personnel development measures and personnel processes.
Innovative marketing projects, the development of our websites, new advertising brochures and media or the production of a 360° tour to explore our trade fair grounds—the tasks of our colleagues in marketing and communication are rich and varied. They manage the optimal corporate PR and the best marketing for Messe Augsburg and the marketing of our own events.
Tailor-made solutions for all types of event formats: This is the core business of our Guest Events department. The aim is to hire out our halls and spaces, and make the best possible use of the site. Our colleagues consider themselves as full-service partners: organizers can rely on professional advice from A-Z for the optimal realization of their event.
In addition to selecting the perfect space, this also includes basic planning, set-up and supply (e.g. water/wastewater, telecommunication, electricity, offices) and arranging additional services (e.g. event technology, catering, security and admission systems and communications with the authorities).
And finally, our colleagues also provide support for the conceptual implementation, and are a link to regional clusters and the local knowledge hub.
They're organizational experts, creative minds and consultants: Our colleagues from the in-house events department manage the design, planning and implementation of our in-house trade fairs:
They're in direct contact with exhibitors and are responsible for the supporting program. Our exhibitors can therefore always rely on our team to do their utmost to make their participation at the trade fair a success.
The best possible service for our exhibitors and guest organizers: This is the role of our Services department.
Our colleagues develop new service offers and coordinate the cooperation with our partners and service providers. They work closely with our Guest Events, Exhibitions and the Technical Department.
Our technical staff have in-depth knowledge of our site, our halls, our building and operating system. You are the first point of contact for servicing and preparing our facilities for events. They also keep our beautiful trade fair grounds in good shape, which includes maintenance and repair work.
Another focus here is stand construction: ready-to-use stands and rental furniture can be ordered directly from us for the events via the Services department.
Our colleagues do, of course, regularly participate in further training, e.g. to become senior event managers, certified event managers or certified fire safety officers. They are all "competent supervisors in places of assembly".
Proximity to the customer, customer orientation, a professional presentation and thorough specialist knowledge—this is what distinguishes our colleagues in sales. They are a crucial link between the customer and the event. They also manage the national and international acquisition of new customers.
Our students who are pursuing dual study programs are interested in trade fairs and events, enjoy contact with people and have good organizational and communication skills.
During the 3-year course at the DHBW Ravensburg (Ravensburg University of Cooperative Education) students learn all the important theoretical basics regarding the planning, implementation and follow-up of events. The practical phases at Messe Augsburg provide students with extensive insights into all areas of the company. They are also able to carry out their own projects—of course always supported by their experienced colleagues.
