More than 100 exhibitors, expert talks and panel discussions, plus an AI avatar debut: From 20 to 22 November 2026, southern Germany’s leading trade fair brings together the holiday property planning, furnishing and management sectors.
How can a holiday property become an offering that appeals to guests and operates profitably? What role can artificial intelligence play? With three weeks to go until SuperStay LIVE Augsburg, these questions are taking centre stage: From 20 to 22 November 2026, property owners, holiday rental hosts and industry experts will join more than 100 exhibitors at Messe Augsburg. The trade fair combines furnishings and equipment with solutions for marketing and professional property management. One particular programme highlight will bring technological change vividly to life: SuperStay LIVE founder Arne Petersen will be joined on stage by his digital twin.

SuperStay LIVE Augsburg has established itself as southern Germany’s leading trade fair for holiday property planning, furnishing and management and is returning to Messe Augsburg for its fourth edition. The event is aimed at holiday rental hosts, holiday letting agencies, professional operators, investors, planners and tourism organisations, as well as anyone looking to furnish or modernise a holiday property. Augsburg is the birthplace of the trade fair and a meeting point for industry professionals from across Germany. For the region, the event connects tourism with property, interior design and digitalisation. It brings regional stakeholders together with companies and industry networks from further afield, making Messe Augsburg a place to explore new developments in practice.
Lorenz A. Rau, Managing Director of Messe Augsburg, sees this combination of practical expertise, innovation and personal exchange as a key element of the trade fair’s concept: “SuperStay LIVE clearly demonstrates just how rapidly the holiday rental sector is evolving. New technologies, changing guest expectations and increasing professionalisation are raising new questions for operators. A trade fair is the right place to move beyond theoretical discussion, experience solutions first-hand, connect with others and take away fresh ideas for your own business.”
SuperStay LIVE Augsburg addresses a development that has been reshaping the holiday rental sector for years: in many cases, the traditional private holiday apartment has become a professionally managed accommodation business. This brings growing demands on furnishings, guest services and financial management. Owners increasingly need to consider how to enhance their properties strategically and organise day-to-day operations efficiently. Exhibitors will showcase furniture, kitchens, bathrooms and accessories alongside services and technology. The line-up also includes software, marketing and automation solutions, as well as associations and industry organisations. Participating brands include Smoobu GmbH, GASTGEBEN.DE, Interhome - HHD GmbH, Booking Experts B.V, easybooking, vOffice and IKEA. Associations such as the German Holiday Home Association and the German Tourism Association will also be taking part in SuperStay LIVE, alongside Regio Augsburg Tourismus GmbH. The trade fair thus brings together two worlds that are increasingly inseparable for successful holiday properties: the real guest experience on site and the technology behind it.
For one of this year’s programme highlights, AI company goAVA has created a digital avatar of SuperStay LIVE founder and App-Me Managing Director Arne Petersen. It will be unveiled during a keynote by Jan Schellenberger, co-founder of goAVA. Schellenberger will explore a development that goes far beyond a technological spectacle: how does communication change when artificial intelligence is no longer simply a text box or chatbot, but has a face, a voice and a personality? goAVA develops lifelike digital avatars that can communicate with people and share knowledge in real time. At SuperStay LIVE, visitors will be able to experience the technology directly, rather than simply hear it explained. Petersen’s digital twin will demonstrate how far development has already progressed. “Of course, it feels a little spooky at first to experience yourself as a digital avatar,” says Arne Petersen. “But that is exactly why we wanted to bring it to the stage. There is a lot of talk about AI at the moment. It only becomes truly exciting when you see and experience what is already possible today — and start thinking about what it means for your own business.”
This development opens up new possibilities for holiday rental hosts and operators in particular. In future, guest information, advice, training and routine communications could be delivered not only automatically, but also in a much more personal way. The keynote therefore addresses one of the central questions currently facing the holiday rental sector: which tasks will technology take on in future — and where will people remain indispensable?
“Holiday rentals are a very personal business, but they have also been highly digital for some time,” Petersen explains. “AI will play an enormous role at the intersection of these two realities in the coming years. Our role as a trade fair is not to tell visitors that they must adopt every new technology. We want to show them what is coming, discuss the opportunities and limitations, and enable them to make their own decisions.”
The keynote forms part of an enhanced programme concept: alongside traditional expert talks and masterclasses, SuperStay LIVE is placing greater emphasis on panels and discussion formats designed to bring different perspectives into dialogue. Topics range from automation and artificial intelligence to direct bookings, profitability and financing, as well as legal issues, pricing, furnishings and professional property management. “My aim is not to put together a programme with as many talks as possible,” says Petersen. “What matters is that, after three days, a holiday rental host goes home with concrete ideas that will improve their business.”
