SPIELWIESN is a popular mix of play festival, a hands-on trade fair, exchanges of information and a discovery and shopping paradise which is moving from the River Isar to the River Lech for its 30th anniversary. The trade fair will be held from November 3-5, 2023 in three exhibition halls at Messe Augsburg under the patronage of Mayor Eva Weber and district administrators Martin Sailer (Augsburg) and Dr. Klaus Metzger (Aichach-Friedberg).
In addition to the popular highlights around gaming tables, stands with exhibitors and authors, flea markets, tournaments and championships, several new special areas have been added this year: XUND & AKTIV and the SCIENCE PLAYGROUND with fascinating hands-on and experimental stations from pre-school age regarding MINT and sustainability topics among others, the children's and youth library of the city of Augsburg, DLR_School_Lab Oberpfaffenhofen and the University of Augsburg with MINT-Cluster4, the fire brigade adventure world, the EUKITEA theater and the DasHabitat and KidsLab Augsburg.
The Augsburg game players group will expand the cohort of "changing game rules” to over 80. The SPIELWIESN receives further support from, among others, the MatriX Königsbrunn youth leisure center and the “Gaby” Gablingen youth club.
The CREATIVMESSE is also coming to Augsburg from March 8-10, 2024 when the lifestyle festival of the DIY creative scene in southern Germany will be held here for the first time. The excellent services provided by Messe Augsburg and the modern, flexible trade fair grounds also impressed MPA GmbH, the organizers of both the CREATIVMESSE and SPIELWIESN, who decided to move the do-it-yourself trade fair from Munich to Augsburg. The trade fair is for amateur designers, handicraft enthusiast, people who love crafts, fashionistas, trendsetters and newbies from all over southern Germany.
The CREATIVMESSE in Augsburg provides ideas, materials, workshops and new techniques for creative enthusiasts who enjoy making things, including sewing, scrapbooking, knitting, hand lettering, crafts and patchwork.
