Accessibility of this Website

Accessibility of jagenundfischen.de/en Website

Messe Augsburg strives to make its website accessible in accordance with the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG), which comes into effect on June 28, 2025, to implement Directive (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act).

This accessibility statement applies to the website https://www.jagenundfischen.de/en.

How accessible is the website?

The benchmark for assessing accessibility is the European standard EN 301 549 Version 3.2.1 and the German Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0).

Currently, not all of the above-mentioned requirements are fully met. Therefore, the website is not fully accessible.

The accessibility of Messe Augsburg’s website is part of an ongoing development process. Identified deficiencies and shortcomings are currently being addressed through a continuous improvement process. Some areas are particularly accessible and largely meet the requirements.

Which areas are not accessible?

The review of compliance is based on the audit result from June 2, 2025.

The following areas were identified as not fully accessible during the review:

  • Not all graphic content (e.g., icons, images) includes alternative text, or the descriptions are insufficient, making the content not fully perceivable for screen reader users.
  • Structural information such as heading hierarchies or semantically correct grouping of form fields is partially not properly marked up. As a result, relationships between content elements may not be reliably recognized by assistive technologies.
  • The color contrast between text and background is too low in several areas and falls below the required minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 or 3:1. This impairs readability, especially for visually impaired users.
  • Some graphical controls (e.g., buttons, icons) have insufficient contrast with the background, which affects their visibility.
  • Certain controls or content are not fully accessible or usable via keyboard, which limits usability for keyboard users.
  • The visual indication of keyboard focus is not always clear or sufficiently visible, making it difficult for users to identify the currently active position on the page.

This statement was created on June 6, 2025, based on a prior review in accordance with the harmonized European standard EN 301 549 (Version 3.2.1).
