intersana 2023: a trade fair dedicated to health

The intersana health trade fair showcases trends and a conscious lifestyle. The trade fair will be launched with a new concept from Friday, May 5, 2023 to Sunday, May 7, 2023 at the Messe Augsburg, and will transform Hall 5 into a world of experience devoted to a healthy lifestyle.

After a five-year break: intersana is back! The health trade fair will inspire new trends in 2023. The revised concept has been designed by the new organizer, Messe Augsburg, in close cooperation with the Pressedruck Mediengruppe media group. The focus will continue to be on health, while presenting the trends in the sector.

“The content of the intersana trade fair is a perfect fit with our times. With this event, Messe Augsburg is expanding its portfolio in the special interest trade fair sector and, with the Mediengruppe Pressedruck media group, is focusing on the mega trend of health,” says Lorenz A. Rau, CEO of Messe Augsburg, and Matthias Schmid, authorized signatory at Mediengruppe Pressedruck adds: “Our health was top priority during the coronavirus pandemic. This forms the key starting point for the new edition of one of the largest health trade fairs in the German-speaking world.”

Five subject areas have been defined to serve as guidelines for visitors to make tangible the various aspects of health:

1. Medicine

The field of medicine covers precaution, prevention and advances in research such as modern methods and technologies. Experts will discuss their products and respond to any questions on their stands at intersana 2023. Visitors can also obtain various health data that has been determined by professionals.

2. Nutrition

Current food trends, samples, vegan and sugar-free nutrition and events will be presented in Hirzbauer's show kitchen: the nutrition area is full of tips and hints on how to use food to boost your health. Exciting presentations will be held for those hungry for knowledge.

3. Sport

Action is at the heart of any sporting activities. The aim here is to encourage children to participate in sports. Facts about muscles, a varied training program and information on different types of sports will be presented along with exercises to do in the workplace. In addition, visitors can test their fitness levels in live workouts. Numerous taster courses invite you to try different sports.

4. Family

As the name says, this section focuses on health of the family. From pregnancy to the right sports program for children: intersana 2023 is a great source of information and inspiration for families.

5. Healthy living

Good health starts at home - that's why visitors to the healthy living section will learn how to actively design their apartment or house in a way that will make an active contribution to their own wellbeing. Whether how to remove mold, grow your own fruit and vegetables or find an in-house sauna; there’s so much you can do.

A trade fair that’s more like an event: intersana is “hands-on”

Roughly 100 leading exhibitors will provide some fascinating information. These include companies from the region, throughout Germany and even international exhibitors. Inspiring presentations with panel discussions, tasty live cookery demonstrations, innovative ideas in the start-up area, exciting live training sessions in the fitness area and other highlights make intersana 2023 a truly “hands-on” experience. Visitors can look forward to an exciting program with facts, action and fun.

The Bavarian Health Minister, Klaus Holetschek, is also impressed with the updated concept: “Health and care are huge issues and the health and care industry is the leading economy of the 2020s. We are therefore delighted that large trade fairs can now take place again. Visitors should really take the time to do the tour around intersana 2023 .“
